Palmfishing has a lot to thank the Ipswich boys/girls for. Not only are they a great bunch of people but they have been a wonderful asset to us performing lure tests and giving us suggestions for improvement. We now find ourselves in the wonderful position of having a team (and a good one at that) in the Gold Coast Flathead Classic in early October. Charles and his uncle will be taking to the water sporting the Palmfishing colours and we are really proud of that. All we hope from Palmfishing's point of view is that the boys have an enjoyable time and do themselves and their club proud. First and foremost, fishing is fun, and I hope they get that out of the classic. Sure its great to get a result, but we should never lose sight of the big picture.
The Flathead Classic is a three day event which is fished from the 5,6,7th of October at The Nerang river all the way through Labadour, Coomera River, Southport through to the Jumpin pin bar and all surrounding estuaries. As this is the highest fished area in South East Queensland it is a real challenge and the average Flathead is from 30 cm to 100 cm and it is all catch and release. There a average of 300 anglers from all over the East side of Australia.
This is a great website that has more information than we could ever hope to include so please enjoy the reading. If you do get a chance please email your support to the boys via the forum.
Good luck boys all the very best from the Palmfishing Community.
