Well done Tatescod! Stalwart Palmfishing supporter and life Member Chris Taylor comes up trumps again in the 2007 Wakool Classic. Tates really deserves his success because we know of no more dedicated angler, and a guy who really knows the value of passing his knowledge onto the younger generation. His little mates (sons) always in tow, learning a few tricks from their old man and really enjoying their fishing. Tates tells us he left for the Wakool weekend in 37 degree heat, but Saturday Morning saw the cold and windy weather blow in. Missing a couple of nice fish early on they worked hard all day for a single Carp. Sunday they headed upstream and it paid dividends with a 32cm Yella at their first drop, a Carp at 45cm and dad got into the act with a Turtle. It turned into a real family affair with tate's brother nailing a nice 32cm Yella. The Comp ended at 11.00am Sunday with the results eagerly anticipated. When the result went up Tates couldn't believe his eyes, the winner two years in a row. Tates had some extra baggage to carry home a KOTA Electric motor and a nice Esky. You beauty! Well done Tates. Will they let you fish it next year?
